Matcha Tea By Grade
Matcha tea is available in multiple grades. Tea grade leaves are from the tenderest most delicate leaves and are completely destemmed and deveined.
Ingredient grade matcha is made from more mature leaves and has not been completely destemmed. These teas are best suited for blending with other ingredients like milk, juice and sweeteners.
All matcha teas are cultivated by covering the harvest with bamboo or canvas tarps at the end of harvest. This increases the chlorophyll content of the tea and produces the unique flavor and nutritional profile of matcha. Read more on our Buyer’s Guide at matchasource.com.
