Our Wagashi are Back

Check out the beautiful wagashi prepared by Tea Ceremony Master Mary Beth of the Urasenke school in New York.


Wagashi are a traditional Japanese confection that are frequently eaten with tea.  Most wagashi are made of primarily plant based ingredients, such as azuki bean paste and fruits.  The natural astringency of good matcha is perfectly balanced by the delicate sweet flavors found in wagashi and other pastries.
