Meet John DiCosmo.  John is the third generation of DiCosmos to make the world’s best ices.  His family owns and runs the must-stop shop in Elizabeth New Jersey that has been icing down the sweltering masses of stoppers-by since 1915.  Last year John opened up shop in Rockaway Beach and his timing couldn’t be better.  As the crowds roll by, the heat stopping ices draw people in and turn them into life-long fans.  No mystery there; the ices are made fresh and actually contain no ice!  John uses freshly sourced ingredients in his ever changing menu.  You’ll never guess what John does the rest of the year?  Here’s a hint:  He usually gets his summers off just long enough to be by the sea.  Right now John is trying out some new recipes featuring matcha.  Before you know it, the world’s best ices may come in the shade of jade!
